Sunday, August 11th to Wednesday, August 14th

Sunday morning we attended a local Anglican church - my first in a lot of years! Then off to Placentia to explore, have dinner and spend the night. Monday, we went to Castle Hill in the morning, to the Historical Centre, to watch a live historical reenactment. In the afternoon, we were off to Argentia to board the 18 hour ferry back to North Sydney, Nova Scotia; then off to Moncton for one more night, and we went our separate ways - me off to Ottawa, retracing my route through Riviere du Loup and across Quebec.
Sigh - the end of another awesome adventure with the Getmans!

Back to my roots!

Blueberry Fair in Brigus, a town near Roaches' Line Campground: just an awesome local fair which we walked around and chatted with people!

Exploring little towns around St. John's:  Salmon Cove with its black sand, Conception Bay, Habour Grace, Fortune, Carbonear, etc. We saw the old ship in the bay at Carbonear, as well as Amelia Earhart's statue. Lovely drive, along the coast, through all these old historical places!
