This afternoon, the Knitting Group met at Port Augusta Park - a little park just down from the church. We set up our lawn chairs in the shade and just enjoyed each others' company and knitted and crocheted for an hour and a half.. This is our third physical get-together - we've been meeting via Zoom since Covid started, then in Heather's backyard one week, Bev's patio the next times, and now this park. We may make this park a regular place - it was a great venue.
That afternoon, I sat out with Barb and Ken in their backyard, and a deer came to munch on the lawn on the edge of the yard. Barb took an apple and tried to lure it over to her. It was sort of interested, but ambled off when she got a bit too close. Pretty cool! There sure are lots of deer around here.

My fourth Newcomers' Walk: we met at a park in Kye Bay, walked through the small community of Kye Bay, then onto the beach. We continued as far as the airport and then back to the park for our coffee get-together. This was a rough one for me - I felt a bit badly about being so slow and holding my group up - next time, I'll bring my walking stick.

Absolutely awesome visit with Jesse, Adrienne and Millie in Cumberland! The very first time I've been inside another person's house since Covid started. Yummy dinner, great conversations, love that Millie girl!

My third Newcomers' Walk: we met in Sims Park in Courtenay and walked along the Riverwalk as far as the Air Park, then back to Sims Park for coffee time. We encountered a fascinating bug which remains unidentified. I felt okay about this walk - my feet were a bit sore - and much sorer when I got up from my lawn chair - but I wasn't totally wiped out.
