On the way back, we stopped for dinner at Trinity - an absolutely cool little town outside time, with narrow dirt streets and lots of white picket fences!

Today, we drove up to see Bonavista - had fabulous ice cream here - and then on to Elliston to see the famous Puffin site, where hundreds of the colourful birds are known to nest. We weren't disappointed! A short walk takes one to a rocky promontory across from a huge rocky island populated by puffins and sea gulls. Awesome sight, very difficult to capture in a photo! Discovered that Elliston is the root cellar capital of the world - who knew? There are root cellars everywhere!
