First really severe storm happening - high winds up to 90 kph forecast. Lots of movement in my rv - particularly noticeable at night, when I'm trying to sleep and am woken up by gusts that jerk my rv. Bev loaned me her car today - for the next two weeks, while she and her husband are in Hamilton for Christmas! Always a game changer for me! Did some grocery shopping and parked by the turbulent ocean for a few photos. How amazing to have a car available to me!!
December 6th to 14th
Regular routine, for the most part. Lots of crocheting.
Friday the 14th, the park managers held a Christmas dinner in the office building - had planned to have it in the gazebo outside, but pouring rain put an end to that idea. I was astounded to see actual people there! Wonderful spread of food, all prepared by the managers - lots of socializing - maybe I'll get to know people here, after all!

November 30th - December 5th, 2018
Friday evening and Saturday afternoon the North Island Choral Society performed our Christmas concert - think it went well - was certainly well received! From inside the choir, one hears the mistakes, missed cues, etc. - but people in the audiences were thrilled!
Monday knitting group was back up to the usual number of people - last week it was just Elaine and I; this week there were about eight people there - always fun to talk and hear about local lives and events.
Tuesday was a downer - no NICS rehearsal, since we're finished for the season - back in January.Today, Wednesday, is just pretty boring - think I'll do some laundry this afternoon and maybe go for a walk along the beach. No water this morning, as my outside hose is frozen - first night below zero. Hopefully, it'll be thawed out this afternoon and maybe I'll let it trickle tonight. Tomorrow night it's supposed to be 5, so freezing shouldn't be a problem.

November 17th - 29th, 2018
Took myself to the Courtenay movie theatre to see the second Fantastic Beasts movie -this theatre is amazing: reclining chairs, wide aisles - unbelievably comfortable!!
Bernice had me over for lunch after one of our Sunday afternoon rehearsals - lovely house, very Christmas-y!
Took Bev's car back - what an incredible view she has from her street! Mind you, that view can be seen all over Comox - what an awesome place this is!

Novembers 4th - 16th, 2018
Thanks to my friend, Bev Agur, who lent me her car for three weeks while she and friends were hiking in Malta, I was able to get around a bit. Finally got to see Mount Washington; spent some time on Goose Spit; drove to Nanaimo and bought yarn at Michael's - stopped along the coastal highway on the way back to Comox.
