June 29th to 30th

Jasper RV Campground: not really a place for big rigs! I had no problem negotiating the tight turns in my Class C, but it was pretty hairy for Rob in his 43 ft. Class A! On the way out, Rob took a wrong path, turned a tight corner, and ran over a tree stump hidden in the grass. His two back compartment doors were damaged and the stump put a hole in his Blue Def tank! What a disaster!! Luckily, Rob has a lot of skill - he and JB were able to remove the doors, pound them back into shape on a picnic table, with an axe, empty the Blue Def tank, buy some epoxy and patch it up, then put the Blue Def back in. This took from 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., at which point the park gave us two big, pull-through sites for the night, free of charge. Lovely scenery around us, but Rob is undoubtedly glad to be out of Jasper!!
We got to Grande Cache and spent a delightful few days there!  Found their amazing Labyrinth, climbed some mountain paths, saw some cool sights!  On through Grande Prairie to Dawson Creek next!

One of the last sunsets for awhile - heading into the land of the midnight sun!!
