August 2nd to 8th, 2017

Arrived in Seward, on the Kenai Peninsula - found a great parking area for RVs - $20 per night, no hookups, right on the ocean!  The first night, we were in spots across from the ocean; the second day, Rob and Helen moved across when someone left; the third day, I moved.  The rest of the week, we all enjoyed being parked literally a stone's throw from the water!  We explored the town, the gang did a boat cruise of the glaciers, Jan and JB did a few hikes and a day-long kayak trip.  One night, we lit a fire and had s'mores - awesome spot, great time had by all!

Helen and I found a yarn store with two very cool ladies crocheting!  Got some ideas and patterns for interesting projects!  Learned to do Tunisian Crochet stitch - otherwise known as the Afghan Stitch.!

Seward campground

People bring their catches in around 5:00 p.m. to be hung and measured and photographed, then cut up!

My stroll along the beach.  There was almost always a cruise ship parked in front of our site.

Cute little sea otter took advantage of the leftover fish bits dumped off the wharf

Love how these clouds just sort of hang in layers!

Last shot of Seward!
