July 17th to 19th

Off again - to Cheryl's house for a few days! Love her garden, house, dog, etc., etc. - always very calming to the soul to visit here!

July 1st to 16th

Canada Day went on without me this year - I really did nothing . . .  This brutal heat wave is really sapping my energy.  In fact, I've been spending a whole lot of time in Sue-Jane's air-conditioned house!  Managed to get to Bayshore and buy a pair of Fitflop sandals which I'll be wearing fulltime - hopefully they will continue to live up to the wonderful comfort of the pair I bought in Courtney (thanks to Elaine, who introduced me to them); got my tanks emptied at the Filtration Plant, preparatory to leaving on Tuesday; a couple of nice Sunday services at Southminster;  lovely dinner at Donna-Fay's house; absolutely stunning Rutter concert at Dominion Chalmers Church (I took Tony with me, which was a great choice, since he really enjoyed it too) featuring The Magnificat, we well as other Rutter pieces, all directed by Rutter himself!!  This Ottawa jaunt ended up with a birthday dinner for Sue-Jane!

June 29th, 2018

Oved's high school graduation!  Hard to believe that little Oved has grown up - and Gabby, too!! Grad was held in the auditorium of Gloucester High School - and we went out to dinner that evening at Tucker's restaurant on the Market - really good buffet!

May 18th to June 28th, 2018

Back in Ottawa - trying to find things to do!  I sang my duet with Julia, which was great fun, and got two services in (one directed by Robert) before the summer schedule.  Attended the Ottawa Veg Fest, displayiing vegetarian foods; visited the Diefenbunker, which I had never seen before;  spent some relaxing time at Hogsback falls; experienced driving rain (briefly) from inside the house; visited Louise's awesome cottage near Val des Monts, on the Quebec side.

Good, good snacks at Veg Fest
