Wednesday, one of the choir members invited me to her home (a stunning retirement complex on the main street) for a performance and singalong with a local artist - wonderful voice, mad keyboard and guitar skills. If I were looking for a retirement home, this would be a fantastic place to be!
This was very much a week of "lasts": last look at the ocean from the beach near the rv park; last look at the church and its beautiful surroundings; last look at the island from the ferry out of Nanaimo. Once again, sad to leave; eager to travel. Can't wait to meet my new granddaughter in Calgary!!
