What a wonderful welcome! Two lovely ladies indeed! They gave us a spot to park our rigs right in front of the water and right next to their campfire. Dinner was grilled sausages and hamburgers, with homemade potato salad and crab macaroni salad - all delicious. They have a beautiful spot - we got to explore the town, have a campfire that night and another the next morning. We watched the gannets circle and then dive for the capelin, like hail hitting the water - amazing. The second day, we took the truck to Cornerbrook, had a very nice lunch at the Grounds cafe, took in the view at the Captain Cook statue overlooking the town, and got back in time for dinner at Maggies, down the road from Cindy and Irene's place.
It was a wrench to leave - but we're hoping to drop by for another visit on our way back to the ferry in August.
