July 19th, 2019

Drove to Gros Morne National Park and found our campsite in the Gros Morne West RV Park - a lovely, very new park run by two young people.  This is the first year they've  had full hookups, so they charged us for unserviced, since they hadn't completed the job when I made the reservations, in March.  Great spots, right in the middle of the Park, in the town of Rocky Harbour.
Grocery shopping is definitely a challenge - very few grocery stores (nothing big) and very wilted, tired-looking veggies and fruit.
We visited the Discovery Centre and learned a bit about Newfoundland's unique contribution to the world's knowledge of tectonic plates.  A section of Gros Morne is actually the earth's crust, thrust up to the surface over millions of years.  Rob & Helen are going to go on a guided tour of the Tablelands, where they'll walk on this crust and learn more about the geology of the area!
We also explored Trout River, and stopped at a pull-off where we could see Gros Morne Mountain.
