July 20th, 2019

Today we drove along the coast, stopping at interesting viewpoints, and ended up at Broom Point, where we spent time in the two buildings housing a fishing exhibit. A tour guide (was a fisherman for 30 years himself) gave us a talk (a "story", as he said) and told us all about the fishing trade years ago - a hard life!
We ended the day with our first lobster dinner on The Rock - at Earl's restaurant in Rocky Harbour - recommended by a local person where we were getting gas. People really are incredibly friendly here - we've had all kinds of chats with all kinds of people!

Famous shipwreck - you can still see a few bits of the ship that went down.

These houses are everywhere!
