Susan, Joan and I drove around the new RV park being constructed between here and Galveston, with entrances on Seawall Blvd. and Stewart Str.  Can't believe how close together these sites are - not sure if two class As could get their slideouts out without bumping into each  other - and certainly no room for landscaping between sites - or anywhere else, it seems! Crazy - the owner has apparently put $300,000 into the purchase of the land, etc. -  not sure how he expects to ever recoup that money! He will certainly be no competition for Jamaica Beach - Ron and Dora are already turning people away on a daily basis.  I had to book for next year last week, since Ron told me that the park is already two thirds full for next winter!
After critically inspecting the new place, we parked on the Seawall and Susan & Daisy & I went for a walk on the beach, out on the rocks - it was awesome - this is the kind of scenery I love!
Next, a quick stop at the east end to check out the feral cats - saw a few this time, although most of them disappeared  once they figured out that we weren't bringing food - and that we had a dog with us!
Last stop - a lovely stretch of beach on the eastern end of the island, about a mile south of the point - more walking with Daisy.
Then - back to the park for a nap!

Entrance to the new RV park.  It was originally going to be a housing community, but the owner went belly up and sold to the current guy.

These are all back-in sites - not the most popular amongst rvers, particularly those who have 45' long rigs - and tow cars etc.

Just look at how close together these sites are!
