Dickens on the Strand was held last week, but not very effectively, because of the continuous downpour - so the powers-that-be repeated it this weekend! The Galveston College Community Chorale (of which I'm a part) sang most of our Christmas repertoire on a square in the middle of the Strand. Donna and her mother, Mickey, and I stayed and walked around a bit - enough for me to find Wild Bill's root beer stand and buy my fifth beer stein!
