Sauble Beach Day! We had heard that the beach was having a Sauble's Got Talent competition, so we went early to place our lawn chairs where we could see the performances. There were about seven acts - some really cute singers, one absolutely terrible / ridiculous / funny magic act, and a last minute singer who had a basically good voice but had a bit of trouble staying on key. The first and best act was a serious piano player / singer who sang her own composition really well. She won first place.
The annual Sand Castle Competition was also today, so we got to see people creating their masterpieces, which was so much fun!
After Helen and I went for a swim, we walked downtown and checked out the shops. I remember coming here with Terry and Katie Binnersley and Julia, years ago. I think Katie's dad has a cottage around here somewhere.
