August 27th - 28th

A glitch: blew two back tires yesterday in an area with no cell phone reception (in the mountains); less than expedient roadside assistance, but finally got a new tire and the spare put on. Broken cable means my coach battery now doesn't work - so no more boondocking until this is resolved. On the bright side - met a wonderful couple from Kitimat who rescued me on the highway, and I'm now staying in a lovely RV park in Houston, BC. Amazing begonias!!

People are just awesome everywhere! The RV park owner identified the cable problem and suggested a fix for the water outlet leakage (long term - don't ask); the lovely Kal Tire people dealt with the tires and fed the cable up through the proper hole; the Aurora truck people did the rest of the electrical and put on a new water intake thingy. It all cost way less than I was afraid it might. I'm good to go now with systems working even better than before! Yay!!
